This kerchief is made using a base of green silk fabric, a fine layer of merino wool roving in lichen, and a sprinkling of colourful yarn that has been thrifted or donated. Through the process called Nuno-felting, the wool fibres become embedded in the silk and fuse, so that the two become one.

This kerchief measures 35-38” across the top and about 10-11” down to the point. The shrinkage that occurs during the felting process tends to vary, so each kerchief really is one of a kind.
