wool chip hanging XXVIII

wool chip hanging XXVIII
This piece is made by first making the coloured shapes in wool (what I’m calling wool chips), then laying out a background shape, and fitting all the pieces together until they work well as a whole and really sing together in a wooly sort of way.
After that, I felt them together. And once the piece is ready, I sew it onto an 1/2” oak dowel. The raised felted shapes end up with a lovely boiled wool texture that adds a lot of warmth to a room. The background of this piece is a creamy, cloud white.
The wool portion of this piece measures, 9×13” and the overall width and height that it requires on the wall is, 10.5×16”.
This piece is in stock and ready to ship.
